How it runs

From first call to running in production

No discovery theatre, no rotating cast, no black box. The same engineer takes a project from conversation to live, maintained software.

  1. 01

    Call

Thirty minutes on what you’re trying to do and what’s standing in the way. No deck, no discovery invoice — just a straight conversation about whether there’s a project worth doing.

  2. 02

    Scope

A written plan in plain language: what gets built, what it costs, and when it ships. You approve it before any code is written, and it’s the same document we measure against later.

  3. 03

    Build

Short cycles with working software you can see and use at the end of each one. Questions get answered directly — by the person writing the code, not a layer in between.

  4. 04

    Run

Deployed, monitored, and maintained. The software stays cared for by the same engineer who built it, so there’s no knowledge to transfer and nothing to relearn.

What stays true

The same on every project

One engineer, end to end

The person on the first call is the person writing the code and answering the phone two years later.

Code you own

Everything is yours — source, history, and documentation good enough to hand to anyone.

Scope in writing, up front

You know what you’re getting and what it costs before work starts. No surprises billed at the end.

Working software, often

You see real, usable software at the end of every cycle — never a black box that opens at launch.

Just as important

What you won’t get

Plenty of what makes agency software frustrating simply isn’t part of how Avantry works.

  • Account managers between you and the work
  • Offshore handoff after the contract is signed
  • Lock-in that makes leaving expensive
  • Open-ended retainers with no deliverables
